Ameeya was in intensive care for three days before she died at 6:39 p.m. Thursday, Lumbre said Friday. She would have been 3 years old on Dec. 21. Lumbre said Ameeya’s favorite activities included walking her beloved pet Chihuahua and riding her bike in the park. She also loved to sing and planned to start ballet classes when she turned 3. “She was just so smart at such an early age, and very alert. If you would have spent 10 minutes with her, you would have seen something very special,” Lumbre said. “She loved music. Oh my God, my baby loved music. And she was so kind to everybody. She would walk past strangers to say hi, and if they didn’t answer, she’d say it again and wave really big so everyone saw her.”.
